Two fountainheads and only one offering. But perhaps this tool of cleaving--and death-weaving--will do the trick and the sources of protoplasm and metaplasm will be sated for the time being. Behind the curtain, where no sun rises, we find a different economy of forces from a page out of Scott Rideout's sketchbook.

If there is one thing that we can all agree upon its that life can be tough sometimes. Here is another drawing from Richard Tuggz's "People of The Beach" collection.

Fur is Murder

On this dreary, bleary, weary day we're given another beach scene by Richard Tuggz. Tuggz spent the majority of his formative years landlocked in Arnett, Oklahoma. His mother worked in a small time maintenance supply warehouse, where Tuggz was employmed throughout his highschool days. Once he graduated he moved to Palm Coast, Florida where he did some freelance editorial work for the local paper, as well as doing some freelance work in the orange groves. He spent ten years living in different towns along the eastern coast of Florida before he moved to New England.

And with this final picture we wave goodbye to the November Thank-Yous cross country team-up of Millie Cindzer, Scott Rideout, Alana Ponui, and Richard Tuggz. As always we end with a beginning. This shaman of ambiguous origin has found his white whale, but what on earth lies beyond the portal? Or should the question be, what NOT on earth lies beyond the portal? In our collective futures, when the candid snapshot has become as venerable as the pyramids at Giza, and the neighbor's cats are giving us tips on new energy sources, we find a hero/ine who is only responding to the praise that festers in the inner self. We may never find any of the answers for our hero's avaricious ambitions. To be sure, whats rights will be mites, and we'll all suffer a few bites. Remember to not be the one that is all-the-way consumed! Never fear, for the next post will bring us right back to business as usual.

We've entered into another situation that may have never ever happened. Could it be that if this sword brandishing young warrior had indeed succeeded in vanquishing his opponent we wouldn't have The Blue Man Group with us today? Has anybody ever seen where they actually come from? Or maybe this person is a greasey curr in search of a cut of the royalties. If someone were to pull this purple aether-drapery aside they would indubitably be face to face with parts unknown. That is for sure. Thanks for stopping by to see the third, and second to last installment of the FORCES, Unltd. giving thanks collaboration series. Turn in your badge and take some time off.

From the End of Time to the Middle of Nowhere. The mysteries of space and time may never be unlocked, but the certainties of the mind are as elusive as a vaporous eel. We find ourselves at the end of a very long trek through a formless landscape. This glowing, fenced in thing has awaited us for who knows how long, and its purposes are undoubtedly weird. What are we doing here? Only the mind knows, and it's not telling anyone. This is number two in the small FORCES, Unltd. collaboration series. Remember to get plenty of exercise and eat a varied diet.

These guys really put the ATE in COLLABORATE, eh? So, let me tell you what this is all about. A certain number of people deserved a little something special and we at FORCES, Unltd. got together and decided that a combined effort of the artists on this web log would hopefully cut the mustard. Each painting has been worked on by any combo of three of the FORCES artists. You decide if the mustard has been cut! The pieces have already been sent out, but you can still tell us what you think. As an added pinch of fun, you can also guess which artist was NOT involved in each drawing.

Alana Ponui is the youngest artist in the group featured on this blog, but she has led a wild, wild lifestyle. In 1985 she was born two months premature while her parents were on a hiking trip in the Appalachian Mountains. It took two days for her parents to get her to a road and then to her mother's OBGYN. It was the beginning of a rough and tumble ride. Alana recently took to living in a cave and having her drawings picked up and uploaded by her partner in crime. This is the first of many paintings made in a cave.

Alexis Dunn has won the first edition copy of "The Midnight" as well as the honor of having her drawing posted on our blog! We here at FORCES, Unltd. thank all of you out there for your strong-hearted submissions and rapt attention. And tomorrow, we return to business as usual.

The Vagrant

Here are another couple pages from Scott Rideout's sketchbook. If I had the same terrifying power as The Vagrant I would wish to open my eyes and wind up in a nice deli where they could make me a BLT with the B extra extra crispy. Many's the Sunday that I wish there were a decent open deli in our town.

If you are planning on sending a submission in for the Reptilian Surfer's Consequences contest, you should know that tomorrow night at midnight is THE DEADLINE! We have received over one hundred submissions so far! Some are great, and some are not so great! On Monday, the 14th, we will find out which is the greatest out of all of them. It should be mentioned that one of our more generous, book-selling/collecting contestants has offered a first edition copy of Raymond Chandler's "The Midnight" to the winner. What ho! But what will this contestant receive if they win? Well, we are still working on that. It has come to our attention that some of you who submitted did not give us your return address. If you feel that you have done so, please contact us and give us your address, otherwise we will assume that you want us to keep your artwork. Remember to be excellent to each other! And a good day to you!

mmm, Pizza

Millie Cindzer cooks us up a slice of 'za.

Scott Rideout offers us this man emerging from the sticky aether (or maybe its just water, who really knows with that guy.) When I asked him to tell me a little bit about this painting he said, "Are you kidding?" One thing is for sure, I was not, but was he?

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Thank you so much for all of the submissions we have been receiving! (If you would like to know what we are talking about go HERE) Just remember that you still have a week to send your submissions in. I am sorry to say only one submission per entrant. The winner will be posted three days after the deadline. Stay tuned!
