PHANTOM:(Seeming to come from every direction)You will pay the price...(Chuckles) O! believe me! And the time for recompense is nigh, old friend.
A vast sucking sound reverberates throughout the earthen channel. It's source unclear at first, then gradually centers itself right behind HERO.
HERO: (Swinging his sword) Be done with you, foul shade!
But HERO hacks away at someone other than PHANTOM. Without realizing it he has...

We know. It will never happen again, and that is a hard, reliable and 100% guaranteed PROMISE. It has been over a month since our last post and that is a source of regret, shame and pain. Moving forward, you will see below this a glimpse into the world of a professional narcissist. No, we are not talking about Scott! This man has let his obsessive love for himself spiral out of control. The admiration he so craved has mutated into a hideous serpentine monster which has sallied forth into the third dimension leaving a void in his psyche that needs an occupant. Would you like to move in? The rent is cheap, and there is a backyard. You pay for garbage pick-up and cable/DSL/food/mistakes. It should be mentioned that this a project Alana Ponui has been working on, using the draftsman skills of Richard Tuggz. She made the story clear, but the format remains in the shadows. ("Leave it to Alana," is what her friends all say about her.) It could be a still from a short animation, an illustration for a video game cartridge, a wall projection, a letter to the pope...anything, knowing her. What a card, eh?

As the days become shorter and shorter the spaces between each post seem to get longer and longer, don't they? We don't usually do this, but we thought it might be fun. This is an unfinished painting by Scott Rideout who complains that, "there is never a good seat at the opera." Why are we showing you an unfinished painting you may ask? Well, because we here at FORCES, Unltd. like to think that the creation process is like the eating of an apple from the flower stalk to the remnants of the calyx. the first bite in the northern hemisphere gives you a good basic foundation for what you are about to experience, and as your slimy ingestion orifice travels southward you begin to fully understand just what this apple's being is all about until you spit out the core, belch and sit back satisfied, fully aware of that apple's place in the multiverse. But maybe you grow tired of the apple (and this awkward metaphor) after one bite. You drop it like a stack of junk mail. The carcass of the fruit abandoned, rotting, slowly liquefying and sinking toward the earth's molten core. A smear on the ground is the only sign that it existed at all.

Hello again, Earthlings! It has been so long since we have last not met, so we have decided to bring you something from the future via the past. Here is a short story by Scott "Freak-Hands" Rideout that was half of a zine called "Fortnight of Night." The other half was drawn by Crystal Regan (if you are interested in seeing her half email us atforcesunlimited@yahoo.comand we will send you a pdf.) Not many people have seen these drawings so this is a very rare blog post. FYI: This story became inspiration for part of a comic book series that Scott will illustrate called Ordinary Tales, written by Boring Dan. FYIA: The original size of the drawings/zine = 3.25" x 4" (do you feel like you're watching pop-up video yet?)

Of muster and bluster. Of cream and creme. A most certainly juvenile examination of what would happen if Richard drew Scott once every half hour during a ritual psychotropic dance. As stated earlier the original artwork was burned up in a warehouse fire along with all of Richard Tuggz other work up until 1988. We know that there are poster collectors out there though. Where are you, poster collectors? If you have the poster for the play, "Bang!" please please please send us a digital scan of it so we can share it with the world. Coming up next we will see some illustrations by Scott Rideout, made for a book of poems by writer, and do-gooder, and goo-shoe-er, C. S. Ward. Where in tarnation are Millie and Alana? Did I hear somebody out there ask that? Their work has not been posted on here for some time, because they are hoarding their digital copies so that Watson wont creep into their rooms at night and help himself. But as soon as we can code some decent anti-theft devices, or decode Watson into obscurity, we will show more of their work. Toodle-oo!

A poster sketch, by Richard Tuggz, for the play "Bang!" which was performed at the Reasonable's Playhouse in Rutland, VT. from August '78 through February '79. The playhouse itself was only in existence from '77 until '82 when it closed for lack of funding. Tuggz created three different posters for this play, none of the finished paintings, or original posters, survived the warehouse fire, but the sketches were at the playhouse art director's house. Perhaps we will be able to rustle up the other two sketches...

The FORCES team has really come alive with this spread, boyles & goyles! It's inevitable that some collaborations lose their wings and take a nose-dive, but every now and then, be it as small as a great handshake, or as titanic as the Pyramids at Giza, the cosmos will sometimes offer us a small respite on a harmonious woven hammock, maybe even between two palm trees that weirdly share a root system, and you don't ever want to get up out of that hammock, but you must, because if you don't you will fall asleep, and possibly be attacked by the Chartruvian Blood-Curdler, or back pains that take forever to go away--O! we just start to write run-on sentences when we gets excited, yes we does! Imagine yourself as an underdog plopped down into a harsh landscape where even sagebrush is afraid to grow. Then imagine being attacked by a huge, ugly brute. Now imagine the relief you might feel after separating this brute's head from it's body. Ahhhhhh...

Its fangs resemble the maddening forces that separates our eyelids in the morning. Its brain resembles a shriveled up pea. In any event we here at FORCES, Unltd. don't like to play the blame game. It is not for us to decide who here is in the wrong, and who here is in the right. Instead we choose to scold both parties. So, spacemen and and space monster, consider this a summons to the mortification ritual. You have been very bad.

Keyholes seem to have two purposes in this multi-verse, to keep you out, and to suck you in. Tests have shown that the amount of gravity held within keyholes is similar to the distribution of weight between any stone in any arch and it's respective keystone. Either way one might decide to slice it, the person peering through this keyhole is wondering one thing: What is happening in this room? The possible follow-up questions are infinite. What is my wife doing with that hideous creature? Should I run away? What is to be expected of me if I am caught? Creatures of Earth, unite against the keyhole's tyranny! Shrug off their power over your mind!

Using natural occurrences for one's own good is what the intelligent species of the universe are known for. One can be towed by a miles-wide sail using only the raw winds that a star emits; the startup is awfully slow, but cruising on free fuel sure makes the boys in accounting happy. Two can use strips of lead paint to attract the void-lamprey to clean the outside of their ship; just a few swatches and these little space worms save millions in re-paneling. Three would find their self looking at a picture like the one you see below. Using the natural bacteria-like decay of the Aether to open up pathways for all purposes; think of the money you could save!

They are back. Yes, FORCES, Unlimited has teamed up to do yet another cross-country collaborative sketch book. Although the format remains the same, some differences are apparent. For one, it seems like we are going to be seeing a little less color this time around. For two: the artists have chosen a theme and a title. The theme: space freighters, shipments to beyond. The title: "Space Freighters: Shipments to Beyond." Indeed, even fromthe first page one can gather that the title is accurate. Stay tuned as Scott Rideout, Alana Ponui, Richard Tuggz, and Millie Cindzer explore the awesome, the mundane, the bizarre, the bewildering life of beings that ship to beyond the boundaries of space and time.

Sometimes just when we have hit the bottom and are trapped in a gooey mire, we are visited by an agent of providence. In a simple form, picture yourself floating through the atmosphere. You have just leaped from a large rock. The thrill has deflated your lungs and your heart is beating like a conga drum. But ho! Now you are surrounded by water and you are in sore need of oxygen. Without our knowing it, our mind and the laws of our cosmos unite to send us on our way, surface bound. Agents of destruction and agents of nourishment fight an endless battle. There will always be instances of treachery and crossing-over, on both sides. Crossing, double crossing, even triple crossing. For example, take the case of the St. Gregory's nurse who held a .22 to an infant's throat demanding that all medication and flammable equipment be burned immediately. Or the case of the Army General who dropped out of life and now spends his days slipping fake dollar bills under windsheild wipers. Now you are traveling through a present-day city toward a friendly environment. Our roads are ever-crumbling, and scattered with flattened birds and 'coney island whitefish'. Watch where you step because your host might have nice clean floors.

As a huge moving planet, one challenge that presents itself everyday is the star that we call The Sun. Out of the dry brush of the cosmos it springs like a leathery, venomous desert snake. Every living organism on the planet must learn to deal with this enemy as we are all practically neighbors. The inconsistencies of the world hold the key to our successful battle against this star.

There is no conclusive evidence to show that this drawing is/isn't a collaboration. The four artists say nary a word, nay, nay, they refuse outright to comment. But the fact remains that this is a drawing. A drawing of an interior. The location doesn't seem to matter. The context in which it was drawn doesn't seem to matter much either. What also doesn't matter is that this is the first interior in the collaboration booklet and it led to more and more. Watch out interior fans! There is more to come! right here!

Millie Cindzer was a driving force behind this drawing. It seems like her time spent working in the wilderness will always be sending rent checks to some part of her brain. Alana said that when she received the book for the second time there was a post-it note on this page that read, "Can you beleive that I once saw this scene in real life? It was the same day that I broke my ankle in the shower! 1978... -Millie" Then Alana drew all over it like the cat who sits on the book you're trying to read. The wilderness of the world is small, praise be to the wilderness of the mind.

Well, finally we have some new material from these artists, four. Allow yourself to know about this new collaboration: Tuggz, Ponui, Cindzer, and Rideout passed a 3.5" X 5" book between each other and were allowed to use a mechanical pencil and one color. They mailed it back and forth and the next string of posts will show the results. The pages will turn as directed by artists, chronologically and showing only what is necessary. Here is another one from Scott Rideout. I know, I know, you're thinking, "What about the the other artists?" And now that it has come to the board's attention that you are asking that question we will make an effort to prod each other until Tuggz, Cindzer, and Ponui produce some more work. But can you really prod an artist and expect them to make something that is worth anyone's time? The answer is probably no. So instead we are changing the format of this blog (DON'T WORRY!!!! it will only be for about a month{{not long at all}} and then we will settle in to our normal zig and zag) into a more stripped down version of imaginary reality. Think of it as an imaginary vacation from fantasy. This will free up some of the artists' time to make some hi-def work. But enough of that, what of today? Here is a vision of the Simpon's household that you don't see every time you turn on the TV. I hope they are all okay, Homer always made me laugh. On an unrelated note, if you ever see this painting in "real life" PLEASE contact us! It was given to someone on temporary loan and now it is nowhere to be found.

On the first day of 2010 we have suffered a most egregious attack. As a whole, our species has always been its own arch-rival above any other. Up until today. They have come from the skies and they have produced no excuse for their acts of violence. The most popular theological conjecture is that they have come to harvest our souls. Some think they are here to punish us. Inexplicably, with each human life lost, one of them disappears. Is it any consolation at all? Many people think not.

On this dreary, bleary, weary day we're given another beach scene by Richard Tuggz. Tuggz spent the majority of his formative years landlocked in Arnett, Oklahoma. His mother worked in a small time maintenance supply warehouse, where Tuggz was employmed throughout his highschool days. Once he graduated he moved to Palm Coast, Florida where he did some freelance editorial work for the local paper, as well as doing some freelance work in the orange groves. He spent ten years living in different towns along the eastern coast of Florida before he moved to New England.

And with this final picture we wave goodbye to the November Thank-Yous cross country team-up of Millie Cindzer, Scott Rideout, Alana Ponui, and Richard Tuggz. As always we end with a beginning. This shaman of ambiguous origin has found his white whale, but what on earth lies beyond the portal? Or should the question be, what NOT on earth lies beyond the portal? In our collective futures, when the candid snapshot has become as venerable as the pyramids at Giza, and the neighbor's cats are giving us tips on new energy sources, we find a hero/ine who is only responding to the praise that festers in the inner self. We may never find any of the answers for our hero's avaricious ambitions. To be sure, whats rights will be mites, and we'll all suffer a few bites. We've entered into another situation that may have never ever happened. Could it be that if this sword brandishing young warrior had indeed succeeded in vanquishing his opponent we wouldn't have The Blue Man Group with us today? Has anybody ever seen where they actually come from? Or maybe this person is a greasey curr in search of a cut of the royalties. If someone were to pull this purple aether-drapery aside they would indubitably be face to face with parts unknown. That is for sure.
