Here is a sketch submitted for the cover of the Sci-Fi book "New Common Bonds". As with most sketches it did not get published, but its successor, The Finished Painting, did indeed become the book cover. Now this blog is the sketch's only venue.

WAVERIDER pt. II
Yet another Aether Surfer from Richard Tuggz and it looks like he has straight up sampled some hands from Scott Rideout's baseball cards. I guess that's what happens when you get a group like this together. My largest question is, what is going to happen once these hands get a grip on their prey? Well for the first time ever FORCES, Unlimited is going to take submissions. Draw a picture of what will happen when the hands catch the reptilian surfer and send it in JPEG format by December 11th to forcesunlimited@yahoo.com (or gmail). The best submission will be POSTED ON THE BLOG!

HAPPY T-DAY
For many people this is one of the last times to relax and enjoy yourself before the snow drops and life becomes durably uncomfortable. This contribution from Alana Ponui is on loan from meat space. The original lies in San Francisco somewhere, but Alana is a habitual scanner. Thanks for helping us usher in the snow, Alana!

Scenic View
Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving? It seems like just yesterday I was strolling down the boulevard wearing shorts and flip-flops, sipping on a slurpee. I know that Alana also wastes time sipping on slurpees during the warmer months, it's during the dark daze of winter when most of her work is produced.

Tuesday November 17
Millie Cindzer started painting in 1979 right after her very brief career as a wilderness guide at Little River Canyon National Preserve in Alabama. This painting, titled "Allergic" is from either '83 or '84. Why is it being posted today, twenty six/five years later, you ask? If for no other reason, because written in pencil on the back is:

See you in the funny papers
Richard Tuggz worked as a cartoonist at The Connecticut Warbler for 7 years. After a fire in their warehouse all of his comics were destroyed and the small circulation paper went bankrupt. Richard has been working freelance for 4 years.

Mac Tonight
The Moon Man rises again! Alana Ponui sinks her teeth into McNuggets and a McCafe. Somebody shoot me, please.
"When the stars come out to play, babe
A twinkling show, ooh -- dinner! -- out of sight
Yeah, the night time is golden light time -- big dipper!
At McDonald's (showtime), it's Mac Tonight!"
-McDonald's, 1986
"All day and all night, step out for a bite.
Oh for treats that delight, --24 Hours a day!
Come down to Mac Tonight, hey!
Chill out, (name of country), McDonald's is 24 Hours
Come down to Mac Tonight, -24 Hours 'round the clock.
Come on down to Mac Tonight!"
-McDonald's, 2007

THE VERY FIRST POST
Good evening and a happy Friday the 13th to you. Thank you for viewing our first post. To start things off here is a set of baseball cards by Scott Rideout, made in tandem with a story written by Adam Hartnett. Ahh baseball cards, R.I.P. Ahh the past, R.I.P.
But don't let these deaths make you too upset. We all have something else to look forward to, I'm sure.
Speaking of which, look forward to other posts featuring other artists in this arch of addlebrains, this band of buddies, this cadre of clairvoyants. They will surely cover a gaggle of topics that will be of waxing to waning interest to you. Until then, I say: go, go and live your life!
